What do you want to be in 5 years?

Image
Recently I watched the Kissing Booth 2 (a really good movie by the way) and one of the lines that really stuck with me was ' What do you want to be in 5 years" . In the movie, the main characters answer was this... "In five years I want to be my brother’s joy. I want to be my dad’s love and my mom’s warmth. In five years I want to be Rachel’s kindness. I want to be Noah’s courage and his mom’s wisdom. But most of all, I want to be my best friend’s laughter. All those things together is who I want to be in five years. I’m far from perfect and a long way from knowing everything. But I do know enough to be the very best parts of the people I know best. I only hope that someday I will be." This got me thinking about who I have been, who I am now and who I will be in the future. It makes me question what I want and who I want to be. There is one thing I do know for sure though, is that I want to be happy. If nothing else works out I want to be happy. I want to wake up ea...

Quote of the day #2

"It's ok to get lost as long as you find your way back" - H.J, (a response to "whats the best piece of advice you've received"  ) This is a reminder, you may be lost now but one day soon, you'll find your way back to yourself and realise you were never really lost, just wandering.  A Little House Plant 🌱

Things to do during quarantine

With the current pandemic, a lot of countries are in lock down or have restrictions in place. So here's a list of things to keep you and your family occupied from the comfort of your own home.  1. Make something new! YouTube is full of easy to follow step by step videos for all of your art, craft and DIY needs. 2. Call a friend! During tough times like this it is important to check up on friends and family and even more important to just catch up and have a chat. 3. Create a YouTube Channel! Maybe you could make DIY or up-cycling videos. Baking, crafting or a video diary are some other ideas. 4. Do some baking! Google is full of wonderful recipes for you to try out when you're bored! Or you could call a friend or family member and ask them for their favourite recipe to try out! 5. Hold a fancy dress up dinner for your household! Cook you're family dinner and then pull out your fanciest clothes and have a fancy dinner! Or choose a theme and dress up according to that theme!...

Quote of the day #1

I have decided to do a Wednesday quote of the day! Each Wednesday I will post a quote of some sort whether it's inspirational or motivational or just resonates with me on some level. If you have any quotes you'd like me to put up, leave them in the comments!  So starting today, the Quote of the day will be a weekly update alongside my other posts on a Monday! Enjoy :) "Still the same girl, with the same name. Just a different mindset and a new game" - Unknown writer, sourced from @thefemalehustlers   (Pinterest) A Little House Plant 🌱

What interests you in the world? What do you want to learn? Where do you want to go? What fashion do like? books, movies, music? What in this world do you enjoy? On this blog, A Little House Plant, you will be able to read about anything and everything, maybe you'll learn a new craft, or discover a new holiday destination. You could find a new favourite book or fill your playlist with new songs.  My aim is to give back to the world, to give people something that makes life a little more bearable whether that is in the form of a quote or a song or even just an experience they can relate too. This blog won't have one set theme, it will be random, crazy, hectic, but maybe in amongst all the chaos you'll find something that sparks your interest and makes you feel good.  I can't wait to see this page grow and flourish, I will be posting every Monday so stay tuned for updates! I also want to be able to involve my readers, so if you have any ideas of what you want to read, lea...
