Creating a *healthy* morning and night routine for summer
I am not a morning person, I'm the type of person who would rather sleep in till 10am than get up at 6am, but I've decided I need to create a morning routine for myself for the summer period before I go away for Uni (I'll probably try and adapt it for when I'm there though, can't be creating healthy habits and breaking them when I move out). I also need to create a nighttime routine as well because I get so lazy in the evenings and find I don't really get much done when I should. School finishes at 3.00pm and I work 3 days a week so my routines will be subject to my none work days so that I'm not overworking myself because that's not *healthy*. I can also be very lazy unmotivated so I am going to try and push myself to make sure these routines get fulfilled on the days I set them!
☼ Morning Routine for Summer:
- Wake/get up at 6.30am
- Go to the beach for a run (haha this ones funny because I am not a runner and I do not run for fun but kinda keen to start so we'll see how long that one lasts)
- Have a shower and make a healthy breakfast
- Go to school and try and do *well*
☽ Nighttime Routine for Summer:
- Have down time for an hour
- Do at least a couple of hours of school work
- dinner time!
- 10 - 15min of cleaning my room!
- 15min of yoga! (I've wanted to start yoga for a while but I never seem to have the motivation so come spring Imma get into it).
- try and be in bed and reading by at least 10pm!
When summer rolls round I want to try and get these routines underway so I can make the most of summer, which will be easier when school is overrrrrr. I struggle to hold myself accountable so I have good ideas like this and then when it comes round to actually exercising them, I convince myself I don't need too. I do want to make Sunday my day off day for like everything because I like having at least one chill day where I don't have to work or push myself or do anything that requires leaving the house unless I choose too. Sundays are also just really nice days to sleep in and spend with my family.
I work all afternoon on Mondays and Tuesdays and then early Saturday Morning so those days are off for my fun 7:00am beach run because I don't want to *overwork* myself. That leaves Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to complete have fun with these routines! I might eventually make a routine for my work days but knowing how tired I feel after long days, it might be harder to hold myself accountable ✌😶
Wish me luck for when summer rolls round gang✌
