❀ Summer Style Wishlist '21❀

I do not have the most extensive wardrobe (sadly). But here are some clothing items I wish I owned this summer! I try not to support the fast fashion industry where I can and my friends and I enjoy thrifting but sometimes you can't get the items you really want at a thrift shop. 

I don't own any of these items (unfortunately) but if I had the money here are some super cute items I would love to wear in the coming months. 


❀ White Dresses

I have been obsessed with white dresses for the past couple of months. I am not really a white person because I'm so scared of getting dirty but white dresses and the prettiest things I. Would. Die. For. Them. I absolutely adore THIS DRESS from Showpo so Imma see if I can save for it and not for guilty for getting it. 

❀ Scarf Tops

Ok Imma make it known...I have a moderately modest clothing style, I like the idea of scarf tops but my body confidence is not quite there. However I've tried on a few scarf tops and they made me feel surprisingly confident so I could totally vibe in some scarf tops this summer. 


❀ Wrap-around Skirts

Wrap around skirts have been on my wish list for a while now and I still haven't committed to getting one, mostly because I don't know how to style them. But they look good so they're on the summer style wish list ✌


This post is a wee bit different from my normal reposting of other peoples content but I like it and I'm going to work on getting my own fun and creative posts shared and written and stuff for everyone to read.

Recently my mum and I participated in the Project Jonah Marine Mammal Medic Course. Project Jonah is a registered charity that works with New Zealanders to protect and respect our marine mammals. They run solely on the help of their volunteers, whether they're helping with a stranding or simply just picking up rubbish on the beach. Their work can fall into three categories.  Rescue -  We deliver essential first aid to stranded or injured animals via our nationwide network of trained and passionate Marine Mammal Medics. Protection -  We act as a watchdog to expose marine mammal suffering and help create and enforce laws that will protect these animals. Time for a rename! and stuff (:

 I originally started this blog as A Little House Plant, because plants sat and saw everything, so the blog was a place for everything. The Instagram page went from a chaotic blog repost to a coherent bookstagram and I couldn't be happier! I've really enjoyed posting throughout the 2021 period however I feel it's time for a change. So I've updated my name to The Lost Love Library! I like the ring it has (vaguely poetic) and I have a completely new theme for my Instagram (under the same name as this blog) coming as soon as I finish my 2021 posts! Vegan Cookies - Collab with @turmeric.oats

Recipe: 6 Tbs vegan butter, soft but not melted(you could use coconut oil but it may change the flavour slightly) 1/2 cup sugar 4 tsp brown sugar 1 flax egg (1 Tbs ground flaxseed, 2 Tbs boiling water) 1 tsp vanilla 1&1/4 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt Desired amount of vegan chocolate/ chocolate chips (I used about 1/2 a cup of chopped dark chocolate) Instructions: Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius. In a bowl, beat together vegan butter, the two types of sugar and the vanilla till creamed. Add the flax egg and salt and beat well.  Next add the flour and baking soda and mix until a soft dough forms.  Stir through your chocolate chunks.  Cover the dough and refrigerate for about 15-30 minutes (this is not necessary but helps make the cookies chewier) Scoop about 1 Tbs of the dough and roll it into a ball, place it on a lined cookie sheet and flatten well with your hands (they spread a bit not a huge amount) Repeat until all of the dough is used...
